Great to meet you!

As an African American woman and social work practitioner, I recognize that my work takes place on stolen Indigenous land and is built upon the unpaid and exploited labor of enslaved Africans. I honor the histories, contributions, and resilience of these communities and hold this truth as central to my personal and professional commitment to justice and healing.

My practice is grounded in the person-in-environment perspective and shaped by an intersectional lens that considers how race, gender, class, faith, and other identities intersect to shape lived experience. I believe healing begins with self-awareness and is nurtured through intentional reflection, connection, and accountability.

As a Christian, I draw from my faith to guide a practice that is compassionate, spiritually grounded, and culturally responsive. I hold a Doctorate in Social Work and certifications in school social work and case management. Whether offering clinical support, consultation, or organizational guidance, I strive to co-create spaces where equity, resilience, and collective care are possible.

My approach to therapy

I use a variety of clinical approaches in my work including the liberation health model.

What you can expect from me

a therapeutic environment that is compassionate, empathetic, brave, and safe.

Sessions that offer deeper cultural-based insights into your experiences, advice on how to handle issues with more self-reflection and awareness, and evidence-based treatment and /or best practices.
