Great to meet you!

Hello, and welcome.

My name is Aitiya Hobson, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with more than 10 years of experience supporting children, adolescents, adults, and families through life's challenges. I earned my Master of Social Work Degree from Temple University in Philadelphia. Throughout my career, I have worked in community mental health, healthcare, managed care, school-based settings, foster care, and private practice, helping individuals navigate emotional, behavioral, and life stressors while building healthier, more fulfilling lives.

I believe therapy should be a safe, supportive, and judgment-free space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered. My approach is warm, collaborative, and person-centered. I strive to meet each client where they are while helping them identify strengths, develop practical coping skills, and work toward meaningful goals.

I have experience supporting individuals facing anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, life transitions, relationship challenges, self-esteem concerns, grief and loss, ADHD, behavioral concerns, and difficulties with emotional regulation. I also work with parents and caregivers navigating family stressors and parenting challenges.

Seeking support takes courage, and I recognize that beginning therapy can feel overwhelming. Whether you are navigating a difficult season, coping with long-standing challenges, or simply seeking personal growth, I am committed to creating a space where you feel supported, respected, and empowered throughout your journey.

I look forward to partnering with you.

My approach to therapy

My approach is warm, collaborative, and nonjudgmental. I work to create a space where clients can openly explore challenges, build on their strengths, and develop practical tools to create meaningful change in their lives.

My therapeutic approach incorporates evidence-based practices including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Strengths-Based Therapy, Trauma-Informed Care, Motivational Interviewing, and Person-Centered Therapy. Together, we will identify patterns that may be holding you back, build on your existing strengths, and develop strategies that support lasting growth and healing.

What you can expect from me

Many people come to their first therapy session feeling nervous, unsure of what to expect, or even wondering where to begin, and that's completely okay. My goal is to create a welcoming, supportive, and judgment-free environment where you can feel comfortable being yourself.

During our first session, we'll spend time getting to know one another and discussing what brings you to therapy. I'll ask questions about your current concerns, personal history, strengths, support system, and what you hope to gain from our work together. This is also an opportunity for you to ask questions and determine whether I feel like the right fit for your needs.

Together, we'll begin identifying goals that are meaningful to you, whether that's reducing anxiety or stress, improving mood, strengthening relationships, developing healthier coping skills, processing past experiences, or navigating a major life transition. We will work collaboratively to create a plan that feels realistic and tailored to your individual needs.

Most importantly, you can expect to be met with empathy, respect, and genuine support. My hope is that you leave the first session feeling heard, understood, and with a clearer sense of direction for your therapeutic journey.
