Great to meet you!

I believe my purpose is to help families, couples, and individuals engage in healthy relationships with themselves and others. I help my clients identify psychological, emotional, and spiritual barriers to mental wellness. I support my clients through the process of defining who they are and who they want to become in relationship with family, partners, friends, or colleagues. I collaborate with my clients as they embrace opportunities to be transformed. I help illuminate the intersection among race, class, gender, and trauma, and how this intersection shapes who we all are as evolving human beings.

My approach to therapy

I specialize in supporting survivors of relationship violence, sexual assault, and trauma. I offer trauma-informed approaches that are rooted in cultural-humility and evidence-based research. I offer spiritual guidance that promote healing and wholeness from within.

When you experience a trauma, it can feel like the safety and health of our relationships with ourselves and others is compromised. Victims of trauma question themselves and wonder where "they went wrong". The pain is consuming. I can help. I will listen. We both can work together to help you remember who you are and who you want to become as a survivor.

What you can expect from me

Setting treatment goals is a collaborative approach between me and the client. I always say, 'I know a lot of things but I don't know everything, especially when it comes to YOU; so, let's work together to support you'. Once outcomes or goals are met, we set new goals to work towards self-actualization and a healthier conceptualization of self.
