Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with more than 10 years of experience providing compassionate, evidence-based care to individuals, couples, and families. I specialize in supporting clients who are navigating anxiety, depression, stress-related challenges, trauma, substance use concerns, medical issues, and major life transitions. My background includes conducting comprehensive intake assessments, psychosocial evaluations, treatment planning, and case management services to help clients receive well-rounded support tailored to their needs.

I earned my Master of Social Work from Howard University School of Social Work, and I am deeply passionate about helping people feel more balanced, understood, and empowered in their daily lives. I believe therapy should feel collaborative, supportive, and judgment-free. My goal is to create a safe space where you can openly explore your experiences, strengthen resilience, and work toward meaningful personal growth at your own pace.

My approach to therapy

My therapeutic approach is client-centered, compassionate, and grounded in evidence-based practices. I recognize that every individual brings unique experiences, strengths, and challenges into therapy, which is why I tailor treatment to meet each client’s specific needs and goals.

I commonly use approaches such as mindfulness-based techniques, and strengths-based interventions to help clients better understand their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors while developing healthier coping strategies. I work collaboratively with clients to build practical tools that support emotional wellness, improve self-awareness, and foster lasting change.

Above all, I strive to create a supportive and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered throughout their healing journey.

What you can expect from me

During our first session, my primary focus is getting to know you and understanding what brings you to therapy. We will discuss your current concerns, relevant personal history, and what you hope to gain from the therapeutic process. I will also explain my approach to therapy, review confidentiality, and answer any questions you may have so you can feel comfortable and informed.

There is no pressure to share everything all at once. The first session is simply an opportunity for us to begin building trust and establishing a foundation for our work together. From there, we will collaboratively identify goals and create a path forward that feels supportive, realistic, and aligned with your needs.
