Great to meet you!

Welcome to working together! There are many common threads to life, but each of us is a different weave. Let's find solutions that help you deal with the bumps in your road. I am an experienced Clinical Psychologist with over 50 years of experience working with people from every aspect of life in a caring, compassionate, solution oriented manner. Initial experience was in Community Mental Health, followed by 20 years in private practice, 25 years in healthcare management and several years working with our Veterans in a VA facility.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is wholistic, and utilizes techniques that make sense to the client. We focus on cognitive and emotional aspects of decision making and life choices, accepting that we can control ourselves and our reactions, but generally cannot change others.

What you can expect from me

The first thing you can expect in our first meeting is that you will feel comfortable, heard, and understood. We will define what we are wanting to accomplish, and will frankly discuss the importance of fitting with each other. While I know that I am skilled and work well with many people, I have no pretense that I am ideal for everyone. I am not offended by being told I do not meet what you seek, and will help you to find a better match. Finally, we will discuss the business aspects of therapy and set a schedule for our work.
