Albert Soo

Hello, my name is Albert Soo, thank you for taking the time to read my profile. I graduated from the University of Maryland, Baltimore with my master's degree in social work. I specialize in treating substance use and co-occurring disorders. I have worked in inpatient detoxification, long-term residential, and outpatient treatment centers. I understand how hard life can be and how lonely it can get. You are not alone, I'm here to help you navigate it. With my years of experience, I bring expertise and empathy to the work we'll do together.

I see therapy as a tool for you to better understand yourself, manage your thoughts and emotions, and build the life you want. I'm here to meet you where you are, not to tell you what to do. I'm going to ask questions, point out patterns, and call out contradictions, all to help you figure out your own path, and I will be on that journey with you.

Your first session with me is open and free flowing. We'll talk about what's bringing you to therapy and what you hope to get out of it. I'll ask questions to help you untangle your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, and identify what's holding you back and what steps you can take. By the end, my goal is for you to leave feeling heard, understood, and ready to keep moving forward.
