Great to meet you!
I have experience working with clients from adolescence to geriatric stages of life. I am very passionate about working with young adults. I come from a diverse and inclusive frame of work seeking to learn from my clients’ unique lived experiences to help guide their therapeutic journey of fulfillment. I believe the most important part about a therapeutic journey is the client-therapist relationship, there is no I in wellness, only WE. Therefore, I strive to foster an environment of solidarity and belongingness by treating you with unconditional positive regard no matter your race, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, disability, or mental wellbeing.
I received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Michigan State University in 2004, and Masters in Mental Health Counseling from University of Phoenix in 2010. I obtained a Specialist in General Education Administration in 2013, and an Education Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Central Michigan University in 2019. I have over ten years of experience in the mental health field, facilitating trainings to organizations, and providing therapy to youth, adults, individuals, couples. I offer virtual/video counseling sessions for issues that may include but are not limited to: grief, depression, anxiety, life stressors, and work burnout.
I have overcome a learning disability of dyslexia and became a Doctor of Education in addition to being a Licensed Professional Counselor, which lends insight to two important aspects of my character, 1. I never give up, and 2. I see goals through despite what may seem like a disadvantage or disability. As your therapist I commit to never giving up on you, and I will support your healing journey and help you see your mental health goals through no matter the challenges.
