Great to meet you!

Here's something I know from experience: it can be genuinely hard to believe you deserve to feel better. That matters to me — and it's a big part of why I do this work.

I'm a licensed social worker (LMSW) trained at Wayne State, specializing in anxiety, depression, PTSD, and trauma. I have a particular focus on men's mental health — an area that's underserved and often underestimated. I work with adolescents through seniors, and I see clients via telehealth across Michigan.

My approach is direct and collaborative. We'll look at the thoughts and meanings you've built around your experiences, figure out which ones are working against you, and start shifting them. Most clients notice real movement within the first few sessions. Reach out — let's see what we can do together.

My approach to therapy

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy as my foundation — which means a lot of "What's going on there?" and "How are you making sense of that?" We examine the thoughts and meanings you attach to your experiences and work to change the ones keeping you stuck.

Depending on what you're carrying, I'll also draw on Trauma-Focused CBT, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing — not as a fixed menu, but as flexible tools I adapt to you. I use reflective listening and validate where you're coming from, while also being willing to challenge your thinking when it serves you.

What you can expect from me

The first session is a conversation, not a form. I'll share a bit about how I work, and then the floor is yours — tell me your story in whatever way feels right. I'm not going to direct you; I'm going to be your research partner, helping you figure out what matters and where you want to go.

By the end, we'll usually have the outlines of a direction together. Most people leave feeling heard and a little clearer about their next steps.
