Great to meet you!

I’m a board-certified psychiatrist and psychotherapist who approaches my work with real curiosity about you as a person — your life, your circumstances, not just a diagnosis. My style is warm and collaborative, and I want you to feel genuinely heard before anything else. I offer affirming, respectful care for LGBTQIA+, transgender, and nonbinary people, and bring personal lived experience to that work. I also welcome anyone who has felt outside the box and wants a practitioner who truly appreciates that. I’ve practiced psychiatry for over a decade — and before that spent years in the healing arts as an acupuncturist and bodyworker. That experience still shapes the whole-person perspective I bring to my work today.

My approach to therapy

My work is thoughtful and personalized, drawing from Internal Family Systems (IFS), a therapy approach that helps people understand the different parts of themselves with clarity and compassion. I also draw from coaching, mindfulness, and integrative psychiatry, using medication and supplements judiciously as part of a broader plan for care. I trust that you know yourself better than anyone, and I bring careful listening, perspective, and clinical judgment to that process. My goal is to help you feel more like yourself — steadier, clearer, and able to move forward with confidence.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is an opportunity to take some time to understand what’s bringing you in. I’ll want to hear what's brought you here, what you’ve already tried, and what you’re hoping for — without rushing toward answers or solutions. We’ll start to get a sense of the bigger picture together and talk about what kind of support might be most helpful going forward. My goal is for you to leave that first meeting feeling understood and clearer about next steps.
