I have a PsyD in Clinical Psychology from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology. My schooling has taken me throughout the MidWest including Minnesota, Illinois, Ohio and Michigan. I have diverse clinical experience with anxiety, depression, neurodivergence, substance abuse and geriatrics. I believe mental health is vital to a happy, healthy lifestyle. I am currently focusing on one-on-one therapy for individuals struggling with multiple issues.
Everyone goes through unique experiences that require an individualized approach to therapy. We will work together like partners. Open communication is important to therapy, and I will provide a safe space where you can express yourself freely. I will be there to support, challenge, and encourage you while we work together to achieve your goals.
The first session will likely be more of an interview format, as opposed to open dialogue in subsequent sessions. I will get to know you and explain some of my clinical background and preferred therapeutic techniques. We will spend the time establishing a therapeutic relationship and ensure that we are both a good fit. One question I usually ask in session is, "What would you like to be different in your life from our first session to our last?" From there, we will work together to begin identifying achievable goals.
