Great to meet you!

As a mental health professional, I believe in the importance of personal connection with my clients. I hold a Master's degree from Walden University and studied medicine in Cuba, giving me a solid understanding of both the body and mind.

I have experience working in outpatient clinics and private practice, focusing on anxiety disorders, depression, and trauma across diverse populations, including children, adolescents, and adults.

Having personally faced anxiety and depression, I approach my clients with empathy and compassion, understanding their struggles firsthand. My goal is to create a safe environment where we can work together towards healing and resilience.

I look forward to supporting you on your journey to better mental health.

My approach to therapy

My approach to providing care is holistic, focusing on the whole person—body, mind, and spirit. I begin with a comprehensive assessment that considers symptoms, lifestyle, relationships, and environmental influences, and then collaborate with clients to create personalized treatment plans that may include mindfulness practices and stress reduction techniques. I emphasize the mind-body connection and coordinate with other healthcare providers as necessary to ensure all aspects of health are addressed. Education and empowerment are key components of my approach, as I encourage clients to take an active role in their healing journey by recognizing and building on their strengths. Ultimately, my goal is to promote not only symptom relief but also greater balance and fulfillment in clients’ lives.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect to take away greater self-awareness, practical coping strategies, and a sense of empowerment from our sessions. They will learn to set achievable goals tailored to their needs, improve communication skills, and gain mindfulness techniques to manage stress and anxiety. With a focus on empathy and understanding, I aim to create a safe space where clients feel supported and motivated to navigate their challenges and pursue personal growth.
