Great to meet you!

Welcome, I'm so excited you're exploring therapy! I know it can be a bit overwhelming to select a therapist, so let me give you a little snapshot into who I am. As a clinician, I have experience working with a wide variety of clients, primarily those facing anxiety disorders, ADHD, depression, self-esteem issues, people pleasing patterns, attachment challenges, and trauma-related disorders. I'm passionate about helping clients process past experiences, build a stronger sense of self, and create a new route to contentment and peace.

My approach to therapy is rooted in Relational Therapy, Psychodynamic Theory, Attachment Theory, Existential Therapy, and EMDR, while also encompassing themes of Mindfulness, Embodiment, and Strength-Based Therapy.

I've been practicing as a licensed therapist for the past 8 years but have been in the mental health field for 12 years in total. I received my Masters of Arts from McDaniel College in 2017. Throughout my career I've held positions in case management, in-home psychiatric rehabilitation program (PRP) services, worked in community mental health clinics, and worked in private practice settings.

My approach to therapy

I take a relational approach to therapy. Safety to process emotions and experiences comes from building trust and connection within the therapeutic relationship between client and therapist! I approach clients with warmth, curiosity, some direct challenging, and encouragement/affirmation. I take an approach to therapy that is very human, authentic, and centered around client individual growth.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect an initial session to include warm connection, exploration of what symptoms or experiences that have impacted them thus leading the client to seek therapy, discussing tentative goal setting, and setting expectations, as well as, open communication throughout treatment.
