Great to meet you!
NOTE: New clients must start in my weekly group before being seen individually. My passion for mental wellness was born out of my own journey of healing childhood trauma, navigating life with mental health conditions and overcoming trauma-driven productivity. I’m queer, Black, child-free (auntie/dog-mom for life!) and have lived experience navigating perimenopause, anxiety, eating disorders and complex trauma. I know what it’s like to carry the weight of expectations; both internal and external, and to have so much of your worth be tied to your ability to do, achieve, and be considered the "strong one". Especially as a survivor of childhood trauma: survival overfunctioning (hyper-independence) can sometimes feel like the only way survivors can feel safe or worthy. Therefore, the work I do with clients is rooted in liberating ourselves from these self and society-induced chains: I guide you towards being more of who you REALLY are and should have been before the trauma, and help you practice radical self-acceptance, challenge societal norms that no longer serve you, and reclaim your relationship with your inner child, rest, and joy. I bring deep empathy, humor, cultural awareness, and a commitment to creating space where you don’t have to prove yourself to be seen and supported. I believe in the decolonization of mental health, and honor your intuitive gifts over pathologizing you. I will come as I am (a little irreverent, colorful words, and authentic) and I encourage you to do the same. I prioritize creating a safe, affirming space for individuals who identify as Black, LGBTQ+, polyamorous, BIPOC, child-free, intuitives, empathic or highly sensitive. You will be invited to explore your authentic self, and be a "mess" and a masterpiece at the same time. All parts are welcome.
