NOTE: New clients must start in my weekly group before being seen individually. My passion for mental wellness was born out of my own journey of healing childhood trauma, navigating life with mental health conditions and overcoming trauma-driven productivity. I’m queer, Black, child-free (auntie/dog-mom for life!) and have lived experience navigating perimenopause, anxiety, eating disorders and complex trauma. I know what it’s like to carry the weight of expectations; both internal and external, and to have so much of your worth be tied to your ability to do, achieve, and be considered the "strong one". Especially as a survivor of childhood trauma: survival overfunctioning (hyper-independence) can sometimes feel like the only way survivors can feel safe or worthy. Therefore, the work I do with clients is rooted in liberating ourselves from these self and society-induced chains: I guide you towards being more of who you REALLY are and should have been before the trauma, and help you practice radical self-acceptance, challenge societal norms that no longer serve you, and reclaim your relationship with your inner child, rest, and joy. I bring deep empathy, humor, cultural awareness, and a commitment to creating space where you don’t have to prove yourself to be seen and supported. I believe in the decolonization of mental health, and honor your intuitive gifts over pathologizing you. I will come as I am (a little irreverent, colorful words, and authentic) and I encourage you to do the same. I prioritize creating a safe, affirming space for individuals who identify as Black, LGBTQ+, polyamorous, BIPOC, child-free, intuitives, empathic or highly sensitive. You will be invited to explore your authentic self, and be a "mess" and a masterpiece at the same time. All parts are welcome.
NOTE: New clients must start in my weekly group before being seen individually. My approach to therapy integrates traditional therapy modalities like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Psychodynamic Therapy with holistic practices such as mindfulness, somatic work, spirituality and ancestral and inner wisdom to support you towards personal liberation and healing. For those open to it, we may explore Zodiac charts or Life Path numbers for deeper insights, making therapy both transformational and enjoyable. I take a non-pathologizing approach to looking at you as an individual, and prioritize helping you building a compassionate relationship with yourself and your experiences as a starting point for change and healing. Although the story of HOW you got to where you are has meaning, we will balance the story with work focused on extracting the gifts and wisdom of your experiences, and caring for the vulnerable parts that may still be holding the trauma and pain from the past.
NOTE: New clients must start in my weekly group before being seen individually. You can expect a space that honors the fullness of your humanity; where your identities, lived experiences, and inner wisdom are centered, not pathologized. Our sessions are a mix of deep reflection, somatic awareness, connecting to inner parts, and practical tools that support nervous system regulation, emotional clarity, and self-compassion. Whether we’re untangling internalized beliefs or exploring new ways of being, you’ll leave sessions with a greater sense of connection to yourself, language for what you’re feeling, and sustainable strategies for care and liberation. This is not just about “coping”, it’s about healing in ways that feel real, culturally grounded, and truly yours. Be warned though, we do the work in this space to go deeper than you ever have, which can feel uncomfortable at first, but becomes life-changing and rewarding if you stick with it. I will be there supporting you through your transformation every step of the way!
