Great to meet you!

I enjoy collaborating with people on their healing journey! This may look like processing life’s hardships, exploring parts of their story and identities, or creating realistic goals to make lasting changes. I have over 9 years of experience in the mental health field working with anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, difficult life transitions, relationship/family issues, gender and sexuality, multiculturalism and identity, college students, and military-connected people. I’ve worked with individuals across the lifespan (ages 4-65), primarily working in community mental health and college/university settings.

A bit about my approach to therapy

If using insurance, schedule a consultation or appointment on Headway. For self-pay/private-pay, please call or email. Availability on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings.

My approach involves offering a safe, nonjudgmental environment where clients and I join together in addressing their concerns and unmet needs. Effective communication, building trust, active listening, empowerment, acceptance, and clear feedback are what I provide in the therapy relationship. I use a variety of strategies to meet the unique needs of each person, drawing from client-centered, trauma-informed, and strength-based models. I hold specialized training in CBT and frequently utilize Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), mindfulness, expressive arts therapy, motivational interviewing, and interpersonal approaches.

What you can expect from our first session

Clients can expect to gain a clearer understanding of themselves, their needs, and their hardships. People will typically feel more hopeful, equipped, encouraged, and/or relaxed. They will gain effective coping skills to manage unwanted emotions (e.g., anxiety, guilt, anger, lonely), and navigate relationships with others. We will work together at a pace that suits them while challenging beliefs and behavioral patterns that no longer serve them. Within a matter of a few weeks, clients can expect to see a reduction in symptoms and more lasting change over time.
