Great to meet you!

Hi, I'm Alicia Cohen (she/her), a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and AASECT (American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors and Therapists) Certified Sex Therapist providing telehealth psychotherapy across Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, DC. My focus isn't on pathologizing you, it's on discovering and embracing the way you actually live your life.

I work from a sex-positive, body-positive, Health At Every Size, feminist, and culturally humble lens, and I bring particular depth to working with neurodivergent individuals, people in consensual non-monogamous relationships, the kink/BDSM community, and LGBTQ+ individuals.

My approach to therapy

Therapy with me is process-based and collaborative. I'll challenge you, but never with judgment. Whether you're navigating a life transition, working through relationship dynamics, or just want space to understand yourself better, you don't need to have it all figured out before we start.

What you can expect from me

The first session is a conversation, not an intake form. I'll ask about you, your history, your world, and what brought you here, and I genuinely want you to ask questions too. You'll get a sense of how I work; I'll get a sense of who you are and what matters to you.
