Great to meet you!

Hi! I'm Alicia Whitaker, an LCMHC with a Master's degree in Education from Liberty University. I have experience working with adolescents, adults, couples, and families in outpatient, school-based, and intensive treatment settings.

I specialize in helping clients navigate anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, relationship concerns, trauma, and self-esteem challenges.

My approach to therapy

My approach is warm, affirming, and collaborative while also providing the support and gentle challenge needed for meaningful growth. I utilize an eclectic approach that integrates evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and person-centered therapy. Together, we will explore patterns, build practical coping skills, and work toward creating meaningful and lasting change.

I believe therapy should be a space where you feel heard, supported, and empowered. Whether you're facing a difficult season or working toward personal growth, I am committed to helping you gain clarity, strengthen resilience, and move forward with confidence.

What you can expect from me

The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin building a strong therapeutic relationship. We'll discuss what brings you to therapy, explore your current concerns, and identify the goals you'd like to work toward. My goal is to create a welcoming, judgment-free environment where you feel heard, understood, and comfortable moving at a pace that feels right for you.
