Hello, I identify as Gabriela, "Gabbi" and use pronouns she/they. Self identified as a person of BIPOC and on the LGBTQIA2S political spectrum. I am considered a person in long term recovery. have been working in the mental health/substance abuse profession for the past twenty years. In addition to my professional clinical I have also had personal experiences both in my individual and in group wholistic approaches that I enjoy sharing with others.
Approaches to therapy is to certainly the ability to meet the client where you're at. I love working with mindfulness and digging deeper into inner childhood trauma work. I specialize in gender sensitivities, addiction issues, and working throughs life’s tough transmutations while integrating and weaving from a vast array of modalities and go deeper with you depending on the level of commitment to oneself's in their own process. I am a "guide on your side" and one size doesn't fit all.
My hope for the client is that they feel a calm safe place to entertain perhaps reframing perspectives and assist in whatever you bring to the session. Modeling coping skills, resources, education and new information my hope is that through a very reality based, grounded approach, coupled with unconditional positive regard that you also find the process self rewarding. I would love to be your guide on the side for you overcome your own obstacles of mind, body and spirit.
