Great to meet you!

I'm Ali, a Registered Art Therapist and a Licensed Professional Counselor in Missouri, Michigan, Ohio, and California! My practice predominately focuses on the issues unique to Millennials and Gen Z, including later in life neurodivergent diagnoses, healing from trauma, finding and maintaining secure connections/ relationships, being first persons in families to reject traditional paths, and navigating adulthood/ becoming secure in self in an uncertain future.

I both identify and work within the LGBTQIA+, kink, and non-traditional relationship communities. My practice is a not just a safe space. It is a place to readily meet challenge, growth, and self-understanding. My goal is help you achieve what you want for yourself, whatever that may look like within the context of you. Together we will find solutions, happies and crappies, some tears, successes, and healing.

My approach to therapy

What might therapy look like with me? We will spend our first session getting to know each other, some assessments of background and history, and determining if I am a good fit for your needs as this is one of the most important aspects of therapy - having a good working relationship!

If we decide we would like to continue, we will then establish goals for therapy and determine what sessions will look like for your specific needs. As a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Registered Art Therapist, I may employ some more traditional therapy tools as well as some creative expression to help you better access the emotions and processing you are seeking.

Some sessions may feel more like you ranted for the whole time, and others will feel like a monumental amount of work was achieved. Both are important and a valid part of the therapeutic process. Regardless, your sessions are yours and the structure of sessions will demonstrate that.

One thing is for certain: if you are looking for someone to challenge and push you, I am your therapist.
