Great to meet you!

I am excited to get to know you! I am counselor licensed in South Carolina (LPC) and North Carolina (LCMHC). I have been in the mental health field for 10 years. I became a counselor based on the realization that individuals carry knowledge and beliefs about themselves that, at times and for various reasons, they are unable to access. My belief is that through the counseling process, clients may empower themselves to increase self-awareness and insight, and experience peace.

My approach to therapy

Assisting in helping you create a better quality of life through self-empowerment and authentic choice would be my hope for you. Often, we feel overwhelmed when we struggle with anxiety, depression, life transitions and unexpected life challenges. This can cause us to question our value in various aspects of life. Approaching the counseling process through curiosity, kindness, self-compassion, as well as empowerment and authenticity may lead to improved self-awareness and insight.

What you can expect from me

Having an interactive session with the purpose of learning about you and what brings you to counseling. It is important that we begin to develop a rapport that will lead to a trusting, collaborative relationship. Even if this is your first time in counseling, my goal is to provide an emotionally safe space for you.
