Great to meet you!

I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who specializes in working with couples navigating disconnection, conflict, and major relationship decisions. Much of my work focuses on helping partners rebuild trust, improve communication, and create deeper, more meaningful emotional connections.

I have advanced training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), an evidence-based approach to couples therapy that helps partners understand and shift the patterns that keep them stuck. I also offer Discernment Counseling for couples who are unsure about the future of their relationship and need clarity and direction before deciding whether to pursue therapy or separation.

My approach is grounded in both structure and compassion. I work to create a space where each partner feels heard and understood while also helping couples make meaningful progress toward change.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, structured, and focused on helping clients move out of stuck patterns and into more secure and connected relationships.

In couples work, I primarily use Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), which focuses on identifying and changing the negative cycles that drive conflict and emotional distance. Rather than focusing only on surface-level communication, we work to understand the deeper emotional needs and experiences that shape how partners relate to one another.

For couples who feel uncertain about staying together, I offer Discernment Counseling, a short-term, structured process designed to help both partners gain clarity and confidence in their next steps—whether that means working on the relationship or moving toward separation.

Across all of my work, I take an active and engaged role. I provide guidance, feedback, and tools, while also creating space for reflection and deeper understanding. My goal is not just insight, but meaningful and lasting change.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, my goal is to understand what brings you in and what you’re hoping to change or improve. I’ll take time to hear from each partner, gather important background information, and begin identifying the patterns that may be contributing to the challenges you’re experiencing.

You can expect a structured but supportive environment where both partners have space to speak openly. I’ll also begin outlining how I work and what the process of therapy may look like moving forward.

For couples, we may start identifying the interaction cycles that are keeping you stuck, while for Discernment Counseling, the first session focuses on understanding where each partner stands and what has led to this point.

By the end of the first session, you should have a clearer sense of direction, what the next steps are, and whether we are a good fit to continue working together.
