Great to meet you!

Welcome to my page. My name is Dr. Allan Vives, a clinical psychologist licensed in Oklahoma, Texas, and Georgia with membership in PSYPACT—an interjurisdictional compact that permits psychologists to provide virtual services (via telehealth) across 40+ states.

Since obtaining my PhD in Clinical Psychology from Penn State University in 2001, I have gained extensive experience through additional training at Emory University and New York University. My professional background encompasses roles at several university counseling centers, the Veterans Health Administration, primary care settings (Primary Care Mental Health Integration), and private practice.

My approach to therapy

My diverse training and work experience are grounded in evidence-based psychotherapy models, including Prolonged Exposure and Written Exposure Therapy for PTSD, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia, Problem-Solving Therapy, among others. Consequently, I offer treatment for a range of issues such as anxiety, depression, traumatic stress reactions, loss/bereavement, relationship issues, identity concerns, and more.

What you can expect from me

Witnessing clients develop a greater sense of self-understanding, increased self-esteem, and the ability to focus on what they value most in life is immensely gratifying. I hope you will reach out to schedule an initial session. I look forward to working with you.
