Dr. Allana Brown

Dr. Brown is a board-certified psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner. She was awarded her doctor of nursing practice (DNP) degree from Fairfield University where she was elected to the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. Dr. Brown specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of a wide variety of mental health conditions. She has a high level of expertise in treating depression, anxiety, OCD, bipolar, ADHD and autism-related behavioral disturbances. In her practice, Dr. Brown sees adults 18 yrs of age and older.

When clients enter a working relationship with Dr. Brown they can expect a personalized approach to their care. This includes a comprehensive evaluation that considers a client’s medical history, current symptoms, and the impact of those symptoms on their day-to-day functioning. Dr. Brown also incorporates various forms of talk therapy and psychosocial interventions specific to her client’s needs. Dr. Brown prioritizes the development of a therapeutic alliance with each of her clients which she believes is essential to positive therapeutic outcomes.
