Hello! My name is Alnita Williams, an African American Licensed Clinical Counselor in North Carolina and Connecticut. I obtained my undergraduate degree in Social Work at East Carolina University in 2007 and my master’s degree in Professional Counseling at Liberty University in 2013. I also earned National Certification as a Clinical Mental Health Counselor in 2021. I have 12 years of clinical outpatient counseling experience with adults, couples and families as well as the LGBTQIA+ community.

My approach to therapy

I provide a welcoming and calm experience and am committed to refraining from judgment while offering counseling and support. I walk alongside each individual offering them the support, encouragement and tools for lasting change. Counseling is a journey, and I am here to support you in each step along the way!


Treatment modalities include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing, Person-Centered/Rogerian, and Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT).
