My name is Aly, and I am licensed in the states of Nebraska, Colorado, and Washington as an independent clinical social worker. I hold a bachelors and masters degree in Social Work from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. I have been working with children (birth-19) and families for 17 years, with 9 years of clinical experience.
My specialty includes identifying trauma, attachment styles, and neurodivergence and the impact these areas have on a client’s current mental wellbeing. I also specialize in supporting and treating individuals who are ADHD and/or LGBTQIA. I offer a unique approach to treatment that embraces a strengths-based perspective through an ecological systems lens. I prioritize the development of positive relationships with my clients, recognizing their essential role in supporting growth. Additionally, I am deeply committed to social justice, advocacy work, and ethical practice, understanding that these principles are fundamental to providing holistic care for clients seeking treatment.
I find it important to thoroughly assess a client's symptomatology, their strengths, their culture, their interpersonal relationships, and the life experiences they have encountered. I then work to differentiate between various diagnoses to give clients the most accurate information about their current mental wellbeing.
