Great to meet you!

You may be feeling overwhelmed by past experiences, relationship challenges, grief, or the experience of navigating a world that doesn’t always understand the way your mind works. You deserve a space where you can show up as your full self and feel genuinely understood. I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor committed to creating safe, affirming spaces where you feel seen, supported, and respected. I often work with individuals navigating trauma, relationship concerns, different forms of grief, and neurodivergence. I earned my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of North Texas, completed my internship in an addiction treatment setting, and have pursued additional training in trauma-informed care. I believe therapy can be both meaningful and approachable, with room for honesty, curiosity, and even a little humor along the way.

My approach to therapy

I believe you are more than the challenges you’re facing, and our work together should build on your strengths rather than define you by your struggles. My approach is warm, affirming, collaborative, and grounded in understanding the systems and relationships that shape your experiences. I draw from strength-based and systems-based perspectives, while integrating approaches such as EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT), motivational interviewing, and self-compassion practices. I tailor these tools to your needs, helping you make sense of patterns, process difficult experiences, and develop a kinder relationship with yourself. I’ll bring empathy and openness while honoring your individuality and the pace that feels right for you.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is an opportunity to get to know one another and begin building a foundation of trust. We’ll talk about what brings you to therapy, explore the goals you’d like to work toward, and discuss what has and hasn’t felt helpful in the past. We won’t rush into deeper work before you feel ready. Instead, we’ll collaborate on a direction that feels meaningful and manageable for you. As we continue, I’ll offer support, practical tools, thoughtful questions, and encouragement while making room for your feedback and adjusting our approach along the way. My hope is that therapy becomes a place where you feel empowered to understand yourself, recognize your strengths, and create changes that last.
