Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who was born and raised in the Caribbean and immigrated to the United States at age twelve. My passion for Social Work comes from my personal experience as an immigrant learning to adapt to a new country at a young age, and from watching my brother struggle with his own mental health during my adolescent years.

I obtained my Master's Degree from Columbia University in Social Work and have been a licensed clinician for eight years. Within that time, I have worked with all age ranges, however primarily work with adults. I have helped to guide and support individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, Bipolar, schizophrenia, adjustment disorder, and substance abuse.

My approach to therapy

My goal as a therapist is to always meet my client where they are; to provide a space where my client is heard and validated; to provide guidance, empathy, and support to allow my client to build on their own strengths to in turn process and overcome their life challenges.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect to feel empowered, supported, motivated for change, gain an understanding of how past experiences can impact unhelpful cognitive and behavioral patterns, ways in which to better manage difficult thoughts and emotions, and how to find inner strength to work towards the change one wants to see in themselves.
