Great to meet you!

I earned my master’s degree in 2014 and have completed all coursework and clinical training toward a doctorate in psychology. My training and education focused on forensic psychology, neuropsychology, and cognitive behavioral therapy. These interests offered me opportunities to work with diverse individuals across various treatment settings, including community mental health, inpatient psychiatric hospitals, correctional facilities, medical hospitals, and private practice. My background in neuropsychology continues to shape my therapeutic lens, particularly in how brain functioning and biology can influence behavior, emotion, and cognition.

My approach to therapy

I primarily draw from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), an evidence-based approach that helps clients build psychological flexibility and live in alignment with their values. Rather than avoiding difficult thoughts or emotions, we'll work together to make space for them while identifying meaningful actions that move you toward what matters most. ACT integrates mindfulness, acceptance, and behavior change strategies to support growth, resilience, and healing. My hope is to support you in building a more authentic and fulfilling life, even in the midst of challenge or uncertainty.

I also incorporate Functional Analytic Psychotherapy, a relational, in-the-moment approach that focuses on patterns in how you relate to others and to yourself. Together, we’ll bring awareness to these patterns as they show up in the therapy room and practice new ways of relating in real time. This process can deepen insight, expand emotional awareness, and support behavioral change.

What you can expect from me

I believe that meaningful change begins with feeling truly understood. The relationship we build in therapy is an important part of the process, and I strive to create a space where you feel supported in showing up as your full self. In our first few sessions, we’ll talk about what brings you to therapy and begin identifying a path forward that feels aligned with your goals and values. Therapy with me is both reflective and active: my role is to offer ideas, tools, and reflections to support insight, help you notice and work with difficult emotions, and actively practice new ways of engaging with yourself and others.
