Great to meet you!

Hi, I am Amanda, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist (LCAS) who works with adults navigating substance use, anxiety, depression, identity, and other life challenges. I strive to create a space where you can be honest about where you are without judgment or pressure to have everything figured out. My goal is to help you reconnect with your strengths, develop greater self-trust, and feel supported as you move toward a life that feels authentically your own.

My approach to therapy

My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and grounded in the belief that there is no single path to healing or recovery. I meet clients where they are and, when working with substance use, use a harm-reduction approach centered on safety, autonomy, honesty, and meaningful change without shame. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and other evidence-based approaches, tailoring therapy to the individual rather than expecting you to fit a particular model. My style is warm, direct, and genuine, with a focus on self-understanding, self-trust, resilience, and living with greater intention and authenticity.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is a chance for us to get to know one another and begin understanding what brought you to therapy, without expecting you to have everything figured out. We’ll talk about what has been happening in your life, what you would like to be different, and what you hope therapy can help you understand or change. I’ll also take time to understand the person behind the concerns that brought you in, including your strengths, relationships, experiences, and what matters most to you. My hope is that you leave your first session feeling heard, respected, and a little less alone, with a clearer sense of where we can begin.
