Great to meet you!

Hi there! I am a clinical psychologist, and I love to use my skills to help you continue to navigate the hills, curves, and valleys on the journey of life. Let's face it, we all get stuck sometimes, and that's where a therapist can help, by taking a look at the road map and suggesting new, unfamiliar, or hidden-from-view routes. My background includes working with the US Army, and I primarily work with adults who need help with anger, trauma, depression, anxiety, sleep, and relationships.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I approach therapy as a journey that we are taking together. You are driving, and I am helping to navigate with a road map (e.g., treatment approach). I make sure to listen to you and understand where it is you want to go, or what it is you are looking to change, before offering the different road maps that I am trained in. I use evidence-based "road maps" including CBT, DBT, ACT, CPT, and written exposure therapy. (You don't have to know what all those abbreviations mean before we meet!)

What you can expect from our first session

The first thing we need to do in therapy is get to know each other. It is important for me to learn about you, what you want to get out of therapy, and what is important to you. It is equally important for you to get to know me and that we develop trust! Together, we will come up with the goals and the type of treatment we will use to get you there-there are plenty of different road maps we can use, but picking the one that makes sense to you can increase the rate and speed of progress.
