Great to meet you!

Greetings! My name is Amanda Jung. I am a fully licensed mental health counselor and have nearly twenty years of experience in the counseling field. At present, I work with adult clients (age 18 and up) by providing virtual Telehealth services only. I specialize in depression, grief, anxiety, and needs related to family adjustment. If requested, I can incorporate Christian values into the session due to additional seminary education. I am taking new clients, and I currently have session openings on Mondays between 11am-7pm and well as limited availability on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is that it is my role to create the space for you to speak, process, and heal. You already hold "the answers" within yourself; I am committed to fully listen, to provide authentic encouragement, and to reflect back to you what strengths and insights you already hold.

What you can expect from me

First, I will greet you with a smile. Secondly, please know the first session can sometimes feel "off" or "unbalanced." Here is why that likely is: If it is the first time that you have told your personal story, it can feel intimidating and be rather overwhelming. In addition, I am going to be asking a lot more questions than usual from you in that first session to gain clarity on your treatment goals. Be assured, as subsequent sessions tend to have a more comfortable rhythm!
