Great to meet you!

Hi, I'm Amanda! I know it can be tough looking for a new therapist, and I hope you find someone you connect with! I may be the right fit if you're looking for someone who: listens and engages with you, creates a space where you can be yourself, validates but also challenges at times, and recognizes the impact of the state of the world, societal expectations, & trauma on your mental health.

My approach to therapy

I believe therapy works best when it is human, not a neutral blank slate with a one-size-fits-all approach. I integrate different modalities/frameworks, including "evidence-based" therapy approaches such as EMDR, but the connection comes first. I aim to become someone you trust (since trust is earned, not given) and ultimately want you to feel supported & respected in our sessions. Then we can build coping skills, strengthen self-awareness, and work towards balance and other goals you may have.

What you can expect from me

Sessions with me can look different from week to week, guided by what feels most relevant and supportive for you. At times, we may focus on immediate challenges, while other times we'll explore deeper patterns or past experiences. Ultimately, the pace is collaborative and intentional; there's attention on both practical tools and deeper understanding. Life's hard enough, you deserve a therapist you actually vibe with on your healing journey!
