Great to meet you!

I have been providing clinical mental health and wellness services to a diverse population of clients, with a wide range of concerns, for the past 7 years. I believe in a holistic and collaborative approach to the therapeutic process. I have found this to be an effective approach to treatment for any presenting concerns or problematic symptoms contributing to client distress. The therapeutic role is to create a safe space where clients can feel heard, validated and address their concerns openly in an unbiased, judgement free environment. I am passionately dedicated to providing guidance and/or assistance to any and all clients with compassion and empathy. Healing begins with you; My role is to bear witness and act as a guide, when necessary, as you find pathways to profound and meaningful insights into your own experiences. We all have stories filled with joy and sorrow, delight and despair, however healing is often found in a process of our own validated expressions.

My approach to therapy

I, of course use evidence-based practices, such as CBT, however I most frequently approach the therapeutic process by first assessing the clients needs, goals, and reason for seeking services. In my therapeutic approach, I often use CBT, Person-centered, Existential, Mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing, Narrative, Psychoeducation, Reality, Gestalt, Solution Focused, Jungian, Humanistic, Internal Family Systems, and Poly-Vagal Techniques among many other therapeutic strategies. My aim is to provide evidence-based services in healthy, ethical, and professional ways most fitting for the client's needs and goals working towards improving quality of life and well-being.

What you can expect from me

In our first meeting we will discuss Informed Consent, how the therapeutic process often works, and of course if you have any, all questions will be answered or I will find the answers. We will also include introductions and I may ask questions around any relevant background. I strive to create a safe and welcoming space including empowerment, validation, empathy, compassion, support, without judgement increasing the likelihood of successfully facilitating treatment in collaboration with each individual. We will also talk about the limits of confidentiality and enhancement of healthy boundaries, self-efficacy, assertiveness, mindfulness, strengths, and values.
