Great to meet you!

Hello and welcome! My name is Amanda, but I go by Mandy. I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 30 years of experience. My career highlights nine years as a uniformed Navy social worker (including deployment to the Middle East where I worked in a combat stress clinic); and 15 plus years supporting patients through the complexities of intensive hospital settings (to name a few).

My approach to therapy

I bring an empathetic and supportive lens to every session, and tailor various modalities to ensure your best success. I typically use a psychodynamic approach coupled with CBT to elicit change; however, I will also use other modalities as they fit uniquely into each situation. Whether you are seeking deep exploration, or a practical approach, we will work together to find an effective path forward

What you can expect from me

Initial sessions typically include questions woven into an easy, open, and guided dialogue. It is my hope that at the conclusion of an initial session, I will know you, and you will know me, and I will have a good grip on the issues that brought you into therapy. It is also my hope that at the conclusion of our session, you will feel some sense of relief and hope, having had the opportunity to discuss in some detail the challenges that are robbing you of your quality of life.
