Great to meet you!

I am a licensed marriage and family therapist, with over 20 years of experience working in the field of psychology. I earned a MS in Behavioral Psychology and a Psy.D. in Marriage and Family Therapy from Alliant International University (formerly California School of Professional Psychology). Over the years I have had experience working with various populations with diverse psychological problems. I have expertise in working with depression, anxiety, mood disorders, trauma, substance use problems, grief/loss, and couples and family therapy. Within my work, I have experienced successful outcomes in improving people's lives both individually and relationally- within the most meaningful relationships in their lives.

My approach to therapy

I take a thoughtful, gentle, and honest approach to psychotherapy. My approach to therapy will be tailored to your needs and goals when you begin. I work with individuals, couples, and families, so my approach is based on your needs and the type of therapy you are interested in.

My style when working with individuals is a blend of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), client-centered, and brings attention to the use of Mindfulness to improve mental health.

My approach when working with couples includes: The Gottman Method, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Imago Therapy, and a Family Systems approach.

What you can expect from me

I offer a safe therapeutic environment that is conducive to honest self-examination and healing. I believe that everyone has the capacity for personal improvement and growth. Within the context of therapy, you should feel secure to explore difficult feelings, experiences and life problems with the goal of living a happier and healthier life.
