Great to meet you!
After graduating from the University of Southern California with a master’s in social work, I began working with clients with eating disorders in a partial hospitalization treatment program. During that time, I earned my eating disorder continuing education certification from Lewis and Clark College. Many of these clients also had dual diagnoses of anxiety, OCD, and depression, which added complexity and depth to my understanding of their challenges. I find working with this population both rewarding and challenging; their illnesses are often complex, involving medical risks and the critical importance of family and community support. I am inspired by their kindness, sensitivity, and resilience as they work through issues of self-regulation, self-criticism, and emotional overwhelm. What I love most is seeing clients develop inner strength, self-compassion, and new skills to face their fears. Recovery involves restoring nutrition and cultivating positive thinking, and I feel privileged to support their journeys. I also use team-based interventions and cultural awareness to address social messages about body image and weight. Helping others transform suffering into strength is deeply fulfilling, and I am dedicated to empowering each person to discover their resilience and thrive.
