Great to meet you!

Hi there! I graduated with my Master's of Counseling in 2008. I have been practicing for just over 17 years. I really enjoy working with folks who are struggling with anxiety, trauma or are even in the middle of a life transition. I enjoy working with other helpers such as healthcare workers, first responders, teacher, therapist, etc. I am certified in EMDR. I have done trainings in CBT, mindfulness, etc. I specialize in PTSD, anxiety, mood disorders, perinatal issues. If the times available don't work, schedule a consult to see if we can work something out.

My approach to therapy

Though, I consider myself warm, I have a fairly direct approach to therapy. I value empowering clients through education and modeling skills. My favorite modality is EMDR, and I am certified in this modality. This works really well alongside CBT. I am also open to EMDR intensives, a way to combine several EMDR sessions into one to resolve a trauma to get you back on track with your life.

What you can expect from me

My clients will hopefully be able to take away from session a sense of safety, feeling heard and feeling less burdened by their stressors or trauma. I also hope that they will be able to report learning and using skills that they feel are applicable to daily life situations that help them be more successful.
