Great to meet you!

I am a down-to-earth, creative therapist with over 11 years of diverse counseling experience. My practice is deeply anchored in biblical truth, allowing me to blend clinical expertise with spiritual guidance.

I hold a Master’s degree in Professional Counseling from Liberty University. I chose to become a therapist after my own struggles with mental health & lengthy battle with eating disorders. I am passionate to help others battle similar demons & find freedom.

Throughout my career, I have supported clients across a wide range of settings, including schools, psychiatric inpatient care, probation and parole groups, and dual-diagnosis residential recovery programs. I love to work with children, adolescence, and adults. I am passionate about meeting people exactly where they are and walking alongside them on their journey to healing.

My approach to therapy

I offer an approach that is deeply compassionate yet grounded in the accountability you need to grow. I like to look at the behaviors we have and pick apart the thoughts/ feelings that get us there (CBT). Sometimes clients struggle with sitting face-to-face and simply having talk therapy. Therefore I like to use different modalities such as art and physical activity during session.

In cases where there is complex trauma, I can perform EMDR therapy. If you have questions about this, we will discuss further. Eventually, I hope to incorporate animals into my practice!

I believe that therapy doesn't have to be a chore. If you choose to take this step, I look forward to working with you!

What you can expect from me

During our first session we will get to know each other and I will take time to understand your reason for seeking therapy. One of my favorite exercises to provide a piece of paper and set a timer for two minutes, then ask the client to list out all of the current thoughts inside of their head. This really gives me an idea of where the client is at in the current moment.

Also, during the first session we will establish some personal therapy goals that are realistic yet don't feel "too scary".
