Great to meet you!

Life can be incredibly difficult to navigate in the seasons of our lives, and I truly believe no one should ever have to walk through that alone. I approach therapy as a collaboration, rooted in understanding each person as an individual in the context of their family, history, culture, and daily life. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor who specializes in working with adults experiencing anxiety, trauma, and complex PTSD. I am certified in EMDR and use a trauma-informed, compassionate approach to help clients better understand their experiences, reduce distressing symptoms, and build a stronger sense of safety and confidence.

My approach to therapy

My therapeutic style is collaborative and tends to incorporate sincerity, humor, and honest feedback. With a warm and empathetic approach, I strive to create a safe and nonjudgmental space where clients can explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences. I believe that the success of a client begins with building a strong, therapeutic relationship. My warm, invitational, approach along with life experience and training aims to build this foundational relationship with each client I work with.

What you can expect from me

During our first session, my goal is to help you feel comfortable, supported, and understood. We will talk about what brought you to therapy, the challenges you are currently experiencing, and what you hope will feel different as a result of our work together.

I will also ask questions about your background, current symptoms, strengths, and support system so we can begin creating a treatment plan that fits your needs. You are welcome to ask questions, share concerns, and move at a pace that feels safe for you. You do not have to tell your entire story or discuss painful experiences before you are ready.

By the end of the session, we will have a clearer understanding of your goals, what you can expect from therapy, and the next steps we can take together.
