Great to meet you!

Welcome!

I'm so glad you've taken the first step in your healing journey. I am here to support you and offer you wisdom and evidence-based tools to help you feel better and manifest your best life.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, licensed in Maryland and Pennsylvania. I have a Masters of Social Work from University of Maryland, Baltimore.

My primary areas of interest and expertise include working with clients who are experiencing generalized anxiety, depression, post-partum depression, and women experiencing or recovering from intimate partner violence (IPV/DV).

My approach to therapy

My therapeutic lens focuses on the use of positive psychology techniques, self-compassion, and mindfulness-based practices to help you find a greater sense of joy, decrease your feelings of sadness and worry, and help you learn and master tools to help you create a meaningful and authentic life.

My style is directive and solution-focused - I want you to feel better quickly and offer you tools and skills along with gaining insight; my ultimate goal in our therapeutic work together is to work myself out of a job!

In addition to my work and training as a psychotherapist, I am also a registered yoga teacher and member of the International Association of Yoga Therapists (IAYT) and have over twenty years of experience utilizing and incorporating mind-body modalities such as breathing and somatic movements as tools to decrease symptoms of depression and anxiety.

I am also trained in Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), a short-term (12-16 sessions) treatment modality for reducing trauma symptoms. Please let me know if you are interested in this approach targeting symptoms of PTSD as it is a very specific, manualized treatment that differs from traditional talk therapy.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect to receive concrete homework or exercises to complete between sessions to facilitate your healing and growth. Clients generally leave session feeling empowered and inspired to make progress towards their personal and clinical goals.

In our first session, we will explore your reasons for seeking mental health treatment and work together to formulate goals and areas of focus.

I can't wait to meet you!
