My approach to working with clients is practical and strength-based. The therapy I use is CBT Integrative Therapy (CIT). CIT combines psychotherapy, or talk therapy, with activities that clients practice at home in between therapy sessions called intra-session work.
Our Headway virtual sessions are clinical cognitive-behavioral (CBT) therapy sessions. Together, we'll identify unhelpful thoughts, emotions, and behavioral patterns and establish your therapy goals. The intra-session work are evidence-based CBT techniques integrated into a specialized daily routine of eight action-oriented, skills-building habits that you will practice at home between our Headway sessions.
CIT is designed to create real, tangible improvements in your daily life by redirecting motivation, strengthening executive function, and helping you regulate your emotions and behaviors. The focus is not simply on understanding what is happening, but on learning what you can do differently and practicing those skills consistently. It's not a generic plan, but an individualized process you own.
My goal is to help you build a mental health skills toolkit that goes with because the therapy progress doesn't stop when our session ends.
