Great to meet you!

Hello! Thank you for taking the time to learn a little about me! As a licensed clinical social worker with over 15 years of experience, I specialize in treating a variety of mental health concerns including depression, anxiety, trauma, stress or worries and parent/child/family relational problems. If you find yourself feeling overwhelmed with sadness, have excessive worries, are struggling with trauma related symptoms, or are dealing with family/relational conflict, you have come to the right place. Many people start therapy feeling anxious and scared about the process and are unsure how or where to begin.

My approach to therapy

With your best interests in mind, I will approach our sessions with an open mind, compassionate heart, and place to hold space for your thoughts, feelings, emotions, and circumstances. I employ evidence based practices that include CBT, Motivational Interviewing, EMDR and Systemic Family therapy, to name a few. However, most importantly I assist people in navigating difficult emotions and challenging situations while using a calm and nurturing approach. In addition, I believe in the importance of joining with you to create solutions that best fit where your at in life and what makes the most sense for you. Life brings many challenges, but together we can begin to figure out the next steps to your healing!

What you can expect from me

I strive to provide an environment that is warm and nurturing, but one that will also challenge you in healthy ways. I believe therapy is an avenue to not only learn new ways of coping, but to also provide an avenue for personal growth and development; as well as creating space for changes in perspectives on situations and how we may interact with others. As mentioned above, I believe it is important to join with you in creating solutions and next steps in your healing journey.
