Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Andrew! I’m a laid-back, warm, and nonjudgmental therapist who works with adults and older adolescents navigating stress, burnout, identity concerns, and life transitions. Many of my clients are thoughtful, capable people who are doing “fine” on the outside but struggling underneath.

In addition to my work as a therapist, I also currently work as a professional actor, which gives me a unique understanding of performance, communication, and authenticity. I use this perspective to help clients better understand themselves, build confidence, and feel more aligned in their lives and relationships.

BA Psychology cum laude (2010) University of Minnesota

MA Counseling & Psychological Services (2016) St Mary’s University of Minnesota

Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) in MN and CA. 10+ years of counseling experience.

My approach to therapy

My approach is collaborative, supportive, and practical. I focus on creating a relaxed, comfortable space where clients feel safe being honest and open. I believe the therapeutic relationship is essential—real change happens when there is trust, a real connection, and mutual respect.

Once that foundation is in place, we work together to identify patterns that may be keeping you stuck and develop tools you can use in everyday life. Sessions are conversational and tailored to what matters most to you, balancing insight with concrete strategies. I also offer hiking and walk and talk sessions for those who think better on their feet. And I’m open to other formats to best match your needs.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, you can expect a supportive, low-pressure conversation focused on getting to know you and what brings you to therapy. We’ll talk about what’s been feeling challenging, what you’d like help with, and what you hope to get out of therapy.

My goal is for you to leave feeling understood, grounded, and a bit clearer about next steps. There’s no expectation to have everything figured out—we’ll move at a pace that feels right for you.
