Great to meet you!

My name is Andy Karabinos and I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor and a Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist. I graduated from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary with a Master’s degree in Christian Counseling. While I went to a faith-based graduate school for learning, it is your choice whether you would like faith-based conversations to be a part of our work together.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I provide Person-centered therapy that is focused on aligning with you in accomplishing the goals you have envisioned for yourself. At times I may incorporate mindfulness techniques, solution-focused techniques, as well as ones from the narrative and psycho-dynamic therapies.

What you can expect from our first session

My goal with clients is to provide a sense of calmness and stability during our time together. I aim to walk with them during the difficult times and provide a sense of hope that things can be different. My hope for my clients is that they walk away from our time together with a deeper understanding of their strengths and the courage to explore what comes next.
