Great to meet you!

Welcome! If you are feeling stuck and seek growth through empowering, warm, solution focused therapy, you are in the right place! I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor who will use evidence based practices tailored to your unique needs. My goal is to help you gain clarity and uncover the strength within to overcome current challenges.

I earned a B.A. in Music Education from Howard University in 2005 and a M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Marymount University in 2012. With extensive training and experience in mental health, education, and the arts, I service adolescents, adults, families, and artists. Specific areas of expertise include depression, anxiety, trauma, ADHD, and family transitions. If you are motivated and ready for change, I am here to support you on your journey to fulfillment and improved quality of life!

My approach to therapy

I use a solution-focused, evidence based approach tailored to your unique needs to help you thrive. I integrate psychodynamic insight, education, cognitive-behavioral strategies, and mindfulness-based practices to support emotional and mental well-being.

What you can expect from me

I am intentional about creating a warm space where clients feel seen, heard, and motivated. Clients will feel comfortable enough to access their inner most thoughts and feelings to achieve insight and growth.

The therapeutic process will begin with me listening and understanding how your past has affected your current functioning. We will discuss practice protocols, treatment goals, expectations, and effective interventions. As therapy continues, you will build resiliency, gain insight, and learn foundational skills to manage stressors. You can expect to leave each session feeling lighter, empowered, and equipped to immediately implement at least 1 therapeutic strategy for growth.
