Great to meet you!
Angela Harvey, MA, LPC-S, LCMHC, is a compassionate, experienced, and trauma-informed therapist who believes that every client deserves to feel heard, respected, and supported. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor in South Carolina, a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in North Carolina, and a United States Air Force veteran.
Angela understands that beginning therapy can feel uncomfortable or overwhelming. She works to create a safe, nonjudgmental environment where clients can openly discuss difficult emotions, life experiences, relationships, and personal challenges without fear of criticism. Her counseling style is warm, honest, practical, and collaborative. She will support and encourage clients while also helping them recognize patterns, develop accountability, establish healthy boundaries, and make meaningful changes.
Angela works with adolescents, adults, couples, families, military members, veterans, and helping professionals. Her areas of focus include trauma and PTSD, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, anger, emotional regulation, relationship concerns, family conflict, life transitions, work-related stress, self-esteem, and difficulties with communication.
Clients should know that Angela views therapy as a partnership. She does not expect clients to have everything figured out before beginning counseling. Her role is to help clients better understand themselves, process painful experiences, strengthen coping skills, improve relationships, and move toward the life they want to create.
Angela believes that healing is possible, growth takes courage, and asking for support is a sign of strength.
