Great to meet you!

Hello, I'm Dr. Angela BerryHouser, and most of my clients know me as Dr. A. I am a Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist (LCAS) with doctoral-level training, and I bring that depth of knowledge to every session with warmth, care, and genuine investment in the person in front of me. My work centers on addiction and recovery, trauma, grief, anxiety, depression, and the life transitions that shake us most. I have worked with people across a wide range of backgrounds and settings, and what has stayed constant is my belief that every person carries the capacity for meaningful change. I would love to help you find yours.

My approach to therapy

I specialize in supporting individuals dealing with concerns such as addiction, Grief/loss, anxiety, depression, stress management, relationship challenges, and life transitions. I also have experience helping clients develop coping skills, improve emotional regulation, and build self-confidence.

In our work together, I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can feel heard, understood, and empowered. My goal is to help you gain insight, develop practical tools, and move toward the life you want to live.

What you can expect from me

in our first session, you can expect a welcoming, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where you can feel comfortable being yourself. My priority is to help you feel at ease while we begin getting to know each other.

We’ll start by talking about what brought you to therapy, any concerns or challenges you’re currently facing, and what you hope to gain from our work together. I may ask questions about your background, relationships, and past experiences to better understand your perspective and needs—always at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

Together, we’ll begin identifying your goals for therapy and what meaningful progress looks like in your life. Whether you’re seeking relief from specific symptoms, clarity around a situation, or personal growth, we’ll collaborate to create a plan that feels realistic and tailored to you.

You can also expect transparency about my approach, an opportunity to ask questions, and a sense of partnership from the very beginning. By the end of the session, many clients leave with a clearer understanding of next steps and the reassurance that they have a supportive space to return to.
