Great to meet you!

Maybe you look like you have it all together—but lately, something feels different.

You may be getting through the day, showing up for everyone else, and doing what needs to be done while feeling anxious, overwhelmed, burned out, stuck, or uncertain about what comes next.

I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor who works primarily with adults and young adults, including college students. I especially enjoy working with people navigating anxiety, work stress and burnout, difficult workplace relationships, career concerns, low confidence, and significant life transitions.

My professional background is somewhat different from that of many therapists. Along with my clinical experience, I have a background in clinical leadership, an MBA, and completed doctoral coursework in Business Administration. These experiences have given me a deeper understanding of leadership, workplace dynamics, professional relationships, career decisions, and the connection between work and emotional well-being.

I believe what happens in one part of your life can affect everything else. Work can affect confidence. A major transition can affect relationships. Ongoing stress can change how you see yourself.

My goal is to bring both clinical experience and a broader understanding of the pressures adults face today—particularly when work, relationships, confidence, and major life changes begin to overlap.

My approach to therapy

Therapy is individualized to the client rather than based on a one-size-fits-all formula. An integrative approach allows treatment strategies to be selected according to the client’s concerns, goals, strengths, circumstances, and clinical needs.

Treatment may incorporate cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), solution-focused therapy, and person-centered approaches. These methods can be used to address anxiety, difficult emotions, unhelpful thought patterns, confidence, boundaries, relationships, decision-making, and life transitions.

Some clients benefit from identifying and changing patterns that contribute to distress. Others may need practical skills for managing emotions, reducing anxiety, improving communication, or responding differently to challenging situations. At times, therapy may focus more on processing experiences and developing greater understanding before determining the next steps.

Treatment strategies are selected collaboratively and adjusted as needs change. Practical techniques such as breathing exercises, progressive muscle relaxation, and guided imagery may also be incorporated when clinically appropriate to support emotional regulation and grounding.

The goal is to create a treatment process that is purposeful, responsive, and relevant to the client's life—not simply to apply a particular therapy model. Progress may include gaining insight, developing effective coping strategies, strengthening confidence and boundaries, making clearer decisions, improving relationships, or navigating change with great

What you can expect from me

Expect therapy to be engaging, collaborative, and clinically purposeful. Sessions are a place to talk openly, but they are also a place to learn, practice, question, and develop skills that can be applied outside of therapy.

You can expect me to listen carefully and walk alongside you in treatment as we work toward your goals, build practical coping skills, and examine long-held schemas and patterns to determine which continue to serve you and which may be worth changing.

I’ll ask thoughtful questions and, when clinically appropriate, may gently challenge a thought, assumption, or pattern. We may look at a situation from another perspective, connect the dots between thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and relationships, or consider a possibility you had not previously considered.

Therapy can be interactive. Depending on your goals, we may work through a real-life situation, practice a communication or coping skill, identify patterns, develop strategies for managing anxiety or difficult emotions, or explore a different way of responding to a challenge.

The therapeutic relationship is professional and grounded in clinical care, while the environment can still be warm, comfortable, and enjoyable. Humor and curiosity can have a place in the work, even when the subject matter is difficult.

You can expect honesty, respect, and thoughtful feedback. You won’t be expected to simply accept everything I say; your perspective matters, and questions are welcome. Clinical interventions and coping strategies will be introduced when they are relevant to your needs and goals, and we can evaluate what is actually useful to you.
