Great to meet you!

I am a highly skilled and compassionate therapist with over 10 years of experience in the field of addiction and mental health. I received my Bachelor of Science from Eastern Michigan University and Master of Social Work from the University of Michigan. As a licensed master level social worker, I have held various roles including Outpatient Therapist, Lead Intensive Outpatient Therapist, Clinical Supervisor, Behavioral Health Manager, Practice Manager, and Program Manager across a continuum of care to include Outpatient, Intensive Outpatient, Partial Hospitalization, Residential, and Withdrawal Management programs. My extensive experience in various levels of care has equipped me with the skills to treat diverse patient populations with mild, moderate, and severe presenting needs. I have experience working with specialty courts and Department of Transportation Employers, supporting individuals through the unique challenges of these systems and assisting individuals with successful graduation and return to work status. In addition to my state licensure, I am a Substance Abuse Professional (SAP) accredited through the National Association of Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselors and Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor (CAADC) and Certified Clinical Supervisor (CCS) accredited through the Michigan Certification Board for Addiction Professionals (MCBAP).

My approach to therapy

I treat adolescents, adults, couples, and families affected by mental illness and/or addiction. More specifically, my clinical interests include anxiety, depression, adjustment to life transitions, grief and loss, trauma, relationship and family conflict, and substance misuse or abuse. I enjoy supporting individuals in achieving their clinical goals and pride myself in curating individualized treatment plans that meet the unique needs of each individual. I believe in meeting each individual where they are at, utilizing a strength based, motivational, and harm reduction approach and specialize in the use of evidence-based practices including motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, prolonged exposure (for PTSD) and other supportive therapies. My personal interests include being outdoors, camping, reading, spending time with my family and friends, increasing wellness in my community and having a positive impact on others.

What you can expect from me

My clients can expect to discuss presenting needs along with goals and objectives they hope to achieve in their work with me.
