Great to meet you!

Hello and thank you for taking the time to reach out! Do you ever have those days when things are especially difficult?? When "Life is Lifing" as we say?? Many of the people that I meet and work with are looking for support with mental health, substance abuse, and/or management of traumatic events. I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker as well as a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor. I'm also a Mom of three and a dog Mom of two who likes to practice what I preach in my own life. As a strong believer in the mental/physical health connection, a lot of my focus is incorporating integrated health into our treatment approach. I also support an intimate hospice team in my area so I am comfortable having uncomfortable conversations about life. If you are interesting in giving therapy a shot, or just learning a bit more about my approach, feel free to reach out and we'll see where it takes us.

My approach to therapy

I’m a big believer that therapy should adapt to the person, not the other way around. By looking at the whole picture and focusing on your natural strengths, I pull the best bits and pieces from various therapeutic models to build a toolkit that is unique to you. Safely blending these different approaches allows us to pivot and customize your care to your exact needs, rather than forcing a one-size-fits-all solution. I love walking alongside my clients and celebrating those hard-earned successes along the way!

📍 Licensed in IL, TN, and FL, and WI.

What you can expect from me

In our first meeting, we'll focus on building rapport and getting to know each other to ensure we are a good fit for future therapy sessions. I believe that developing this relationship is essential for success in therapy. We'll start to focus on reasons for seeking therapy, and come up with a game plan for additional support. I see planning as a guideline for therapy, while being aware that therapy leads our conversation into many different directions, Humor also helps! Like a lot!
