Great to meet you!

My name is Angie, I've been a mental health counselor for over 22 years and I love connecting with others and helping along the journey. Life’s challenges can leave us feeling stuck, overwhelmed, and uncertain about the path forward. Whether you’re navigating emotional pain, feeling discouraged or confused, or struggling with depression, anxiety, addiction, or other difficulties, there is hope. Together, we can explore your unique story, develop practical strategies, and uncover the next steps on your journey toward peace, confidence, and personal growth. My goal is to meet you where you are today and provide support and encouragement every step of the way.

I work with individuals of all ages who are experiencing stress, anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship challenges, work-life balance concerns, parenting struggles, or those seeking spiritual exploration and deeper self-understanding. Using a variety of therapeutic approaches—including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Rational Emotive Therapy, and Psychoeducation—I tailor our work to your specific needs, empowering you to take meaningful steps toward your goals.

I earned my Master’s degree in Clinical Counseling in 2003 and am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) and a Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor (LICDC) in Ohio. With 22 years of experience working with individuals in Private Practice, Employee Assistance Programs, Human Resources, and as University Faculty, I bring a broad perspective and deep understanding to our work together.

If you’re ready to take that next step, I’m here to listen, support, and help you discover the peace and confidence you deserve. Let’s begin this journey together.

My approach to therapy

As a dedicated and experienced counselor, I provide a safe, supportive space for individuals who are struggling and looking for support, guidance and improvement. I understand that life’s difficulties can feel overwhelming, and whether your pain stems from past experiences, family dynamics, or current stressors, you don’t have to navigate it alone.

My approach to counseling is collaborative and tailored to your unique needs. In our sessions, we will work together to explore the underlying causes of your struggles, identify patterns that may be holding you back, and develop practical strategies to help you heal and move forward.

I use a combination of evidence-based techniques, including cognitive-behavioral strategies, trauma-informed care, and mindfulness practices, to support your emotional well-being and personal growth. From our very first session, my goal is to help you feel heard, understood, and empowered.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect to leave each session with a greater sense of clarity, self-awareness, and practical tools to navigate life’s challenges. Here’s what you can expect to take away from working with me:

  1. A Safe, Non-Judgmental Space: You’ll feel heard, understood, and validated, knowing that you have a supportive space to explore your emotions, thoughts, and concerns.
  2. Practical Tools for Emotional Regulation: We’ll work on techniques to help you manage stress, anxiety, depression, and trauma. You’ll gain effective coping strategies that you can implement in real-life situations.
  3. A Deeper Understanding of Yourself: Through our sessions, you’ll uncover patterns in your thoughts, behaviors, and relationships, helping you understand why you react the way you do and how you can make lasting changes.
  4. Personalized Action Plan: Together, we will create a clear and actionable plan to address your challenges, setting achievable goals that empower you to make steady progress towards healing and personal growth.
  5. A Sense of Empowerment: You’ll gain confidence in your ability to navigate difficult emotions and situations, feeling more equipped to face life’s obstacles with strength and resilience.
